SERVICES: Our Commitment to Humanity
At Global Advocacy for Humanitarian and Immigrant Empowerment (GAHIE), our mission is realized through a comprehensive suite of services designed to protect, empower, and uplift individuals and families. We provide critical legal support to the most vulnerable while extending a compassionate hand to all of humanity, living our core belief that everyone deserves dignity, safety, and opportunity.
Our services are structured into two key pillars of support:
Pillar I: Core Legal Assistance & Advocacy
We specialize in navigating the complex U.S. immigration system to provide undocumented immigrants with a robust legal defense and a clear path toward stability.
- Legal Consultations & Case Evaluation: We offer confidential, one-on-one consultations with our experienced legal staff and pro bono attorneys to assess individual circumstances, explain available options, and outline potential pathways to legal status.
- Asylum Application Assistance: We provide end-to-end support for individuals fleeing persecution, violence, or torture in their home countries. This includes helping prepare declarations, gathering evidence, and representing clients throughout the asylum application process.
- Family-Based Petitions & Reunification: We guide families through the complex process of filing petitions for relatives, seeking relief such as VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) for abused spouses and children, and advocating for the reunification of families separated by immigration policies.
- Deportation Defense & Removal Proceedings: Our team provides critical legal representation for individuals facing deportation. We defend our clients in immigration court, file for necessary relief like Cancellation of Removal, and pursue appeals to fight for their right to remain with their families and communities.
- DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Renewals & Assistance: We help eligible youth navigate the renewal process to maintain their protected status and work authorization.
- Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS): We assist vulnerable immigrant children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected in obtaining legal status, providing them with safety and a future in the United States.
- U-Visa & T-Visa Applications: We aid victims of serious crimes (U-Visa) and human trafficking (T-Visa) in securing legal status, cooperating with law enforcement to prosecute perpetrators while protecting themselves.
Pillar II: Holistic Humanitarian Support & Integration
Recognizing that legal status is only one facet of a person’s well-being, we provide essential services that address immediate human needs and foster long-term community integration.
- Community Integration & Resource Navigation: We help newcomers and long-term residents alike navigate their new communities. This includes assistance with accessing public benefits (for those eligible), enrolling children in school, finding ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, and connecting with local support networks.
- “Know Your Rights” (KYR) Workshops: We empower all immigrants, regardless of status, by educating them on their constitutional and civil rights when interacting with law enforcement, ICE, or in the workplace. Knowledge is a powerful tool for prevention and protection.
- Psychosocial Support & Mental Health Referrals: Fleeing trauma, enduring family separation, and living in fear take a profound toll. We offer counseling services and partner with mental health professionals to provide culturally competent care, healing the invisible wounds of displacement.
- Emergency Humanitarian Aid: In times of crisis, we provide direct assistance to individuals and families irrespective of their background. This includes support with emergency shelter, food insecurity, essential supplies, and crisis management for victims of natural disasters or violence.
Our Promise: GAHIE stands as a steadfast advocate and a source of unwavering support. We do not discriminate. Our services are extended to all humanity, honoring the inherent worth and dignity of every individual we serve.
